  • You may submit multiple times for any of the problems, but only the last submission for a given problem will be graded.

○ Team Portion
  • Team Round: 50-minute exam consisting of 15 short answer questions.
  • Guts Round: 80-minute team exam consisting of 9 series of 3 questions each, whereby teams must submit answers to a previous round in order to gain access to the next.
  • Power Round: 80-minute team exam focused on proof-writing.
○ Individual Portion(TBD)
  • Students may choose to take two subject tests in a specific topic or take a single, longer General Test.
  • Subject Tests: The Subject Tests are 50-minute exams consisting of 10 short answer questions. The subjects offered are Algebra, Calculus, Discrete, and Geometry.
  • General Tests: The General Test is a 110-minute exam consisting of 25 short answer questions that is designed for students that have less mathematical background.

○ Scoring(TBD)
  • Subject / General: To calculate the subject / general score for a team, we will take the average of every team member's score on their individual portion if the team has 5, 6, 7, or 8 members. If the team has fewer than that many members, we will add 0's until the team has reached at least 5 scores, after which we will take the average. While individuals are allowed to register a 1-person team, we highly encourage students to try to create a team of at least 5.
  • All scores for a given team round will be normalized by either the top 10 students or the top 10% of all scores, whichever is bigger.
  • If a student takes the General Test instead of two Subject Tests, their score will only count for 60% of the points as the combination of two subject tests will.
○ Overall Score(TBD)
  • A team’s overall score is 0.4 * (sum of its members’ normalized scores on subject and general tests) + 0.3 (normalized team score) + 0.3 * (normalized guts score).
